Best of Agapegeek!

(Ver 1.4) To those who do not know what to study first in the Bible, here are some of the most popular Bible lessons that God has given to me to share with you.   These Bible lessons have been my most popularly accessed lessons for the longest time.  These Bible lessons produce more hits than any others on my website and I have to agree that they have great spiriutal value if you are able to receive them.  Most of my Bible lessons are intended for mature Christians that want to grow spiritually to learn new perspectives of God and the Bible.  Therefore, they are not for everyone.  You judge yourself and determine where you are in your spiritual life and only then go and read anything that I have written so that I do not offend any young baby Christians.  Check these Bible lessons out and see what you think and if you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them.  I definitely value your input.  Also if any of these are a blessing to you please share them with your friends (email, Facebook or print a hard copy), so that we can get the Truth of God to spread to everyon in the world as fast as we can before Jesus returns for us very soon.   JESUS IS COMING SOON!  ARE YOU READY?  God Bless!

    • You are talking about Mat 10:34 to 39. These 2 verses you are asking about, simply mean put God first in you life. It does not say to hate anyone. God simply says love me as your first priority. God bless and please pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the verses you don’t first also. He is always willing to help you.

    • Thank you sister Diane. The book of Job has been a massively misunderstood and misinterpreted book. If you go to the Bible series tab you will find a series called Understanding the book of Job. It is a start but should not be considered complete study. Please read and study and submit any questions as you are led by the Spirit. God bless you very much.

    • God bless you, for being a new friend in Christ! Being led by the Spirit of God identifies us clearly as the children of God (Rom 8:14). It is a great privilege for us to be led by the Spirit of God and to be used by the Spirit to bless someone we have never met before. We all should be eternally grateful for God’s amazing display of love shown to us in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your kind comment of blessings and encouragement. Keep your faith strong in Jesus. He is coming sooner than most know.

I would like to know whether you have any teaching on what happened to Jesus’s spirit and soul during the three days when his body was in the tomb .

    • Thank you so very much for studying the Bible, reading and asking questions. This is a great question that is hotly debated in the church today. It would be a great lesson to do, the LORD be willing.

The short answer to your question, is Jesus went to literal hell, also called the lake of fire for 3 days and nights. We can read the answer to your question in Matthew 12:40 from the mouth of Jesus our LORD himself. In this verse Jesus claims as Jonah was in the belly of a whale, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth. Heart is figurative expression for the center. It is like eating the heart of a watermelon.

If Jesus did not go to hell as some Christians claim, then He could not have saved us. Jesus had to pay the penalty for all sin fully and completely. The only way for Him to do this was for Him to take what we were going to experience and endure it “for” us. Because He endured our death sentence for us undeservingly, we were exchanged His forgiveness, righteousness and life also undeservingly. Praise the LORD, Thank You Jesus!

  5. Can someone tell me their oppion on ekklesia?

    Like

    • I do not believe that an opinion really matters. I will share some important facts. The Greek Word G1577 transliterated as “ekklesia” means “called out ones”. It is used in the Bible to describe (name) the body of Christ believers. It occurs 115 times in the New Testament. First used by Jesus in the book of Matthew and last used by Jesus in book of Revelation chapter 3 when talking to the churches (ekklesia). It is not found after chapter 3 of Revelation because these people have been “called out” of the world and taken up to heaven to be with Jesus the Head of the Body. Thank you for your questions and God Bless you.

    • There is a Bible study that answers this question in significant detail. Please search on this website for Can Satan Read Your Mind? The simple answer is NO! Satan is not omniscient like Almighty God. God knows our thoughts but Satan does not. In fact Satan is also not omnipresent and can only be in one place at one time. Thank you for reading and commenting and God Bless you.

  8. Good day sir, I had been a follower of your blog and it had given me insights about the truth of God’s Word. Recently, I came across to one of your topic about hell. It was splendid and well explained truth based solely on God’s word and revelation. But I have a question about 1 Peter 3: 18-20 especially the verse 19 which is a controversial verse for many. Is this prison the Abraham’s bossom?or hell?I am searching and studying on my own about this topic as I follow your advices on how to find God’s truth in His word. I hope you can help me. Please send me an email for your answer. Thank you and God bless you.

  21. Agapegeek,

Your blog is awesome. I was struggling with a literal “talking serpent” in Genesis, and it was causing me to doubt my salvation and the Truth of the Scriptures. I prayed that to our Father to lead me to an answer. He led me to your site. Keep doing God’s work bud. I can see His Glory shining through your studies.

  22. Hi Mr. Agape Geek,

I was just wondering if you could tell me to what church do you belong? Honestly I haven’t read much of what you’ve written, but I like making a point of knowing as much as I can about a writer before I read too much. It’s for checking what version of the bible someone is refering to, which can really make all the difference. I think I’m on the same page as you, but I want to make sure I’m reading the same or similar version of the bible and that varies considerably from church to church. I’m Catholic and I read from the English-Latin Bible called the Douay-Rheims version of the Bible. It’s the direct English translation Juxta Vulgatam Clementinam.

    Gratias tibi ago.
    Your sister in Christ,
    Elise

I was reading in the New American Standard today in Genesis and noticed some very distinct words that are different from other translations and I noticed in Chapter 5 that the word Man, was capitalized!!! This means that Genesis is all about Jesus! So I looked that up and your website gave me confirmation! Thank you! The pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together in my spiritual understanding! I just wish I could share this with others, what a revelation! I am so excited! Debbie Hall

The essay is suppose to have a thesis, and give scriptures references in the essay as to the theme. I am stuck. I want to write about Job. I want to write about how through all of the trials and misfortunes he went through he never looses his faith. Could you help me get a good start on this? I don’t even know where to start, with adding in lit. terms and all that I am totally at a loss.
