Bible Series

(Ver 2.9) This page is a list of the current Bible lesson series that are available and in progress on this website.  Each series starts with lesson 1 and then continues to each subsequent lesson.  Most of the lessons are designed to be studied in the numbered sequence with dependent relationships and unfolding revelation.  However, subjects are taught in a manner that are not academically or theologically complex in order that they may be understood by everyone.  No series is ever complete because no one yet knows any complete Bible subject including me.  Each of us must trust the Spirit of God in us to lead us into all of the truth that we still do not possess.  That is the process that we are all participating in.   So as God teaches us new things on any subject, we will post new lessons in that series to share with everyone else.  If anyone has any questions or comments to share on any subject, please feel free to leave those after reading the entire lesson and if they can be addressed, we will do that with the LORD’s help.   Prov 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.  In all our ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct our paths”.  God bless you and enjoy our Bible Series:

  1. Hello. Why is there so many commercials regarding dental implants? Is it a distraction from the word of God? Did Jesus Christ speak of this to come?

    • Everything from darkness of this world is designed by Satan to distract us from God’s Word. Why are you so focused upon them? 2 Cor 4:18 says Christians should not focus on carnal 5 senses things but rather turn our focus upon the eternal Spirit and His Words. Please read 2 Tim 2:22-26 about foolish questions. They are a distraction to us all and we should not ask them or answer them. God help us to see His priorities and ignore Satan’s distractions.

    • Thank you for your question. Not knowing much about you and your education, it might be good for you to begin with tech-tools. The Bible app eSword is very good basic study tool. It is best if used on an iPAD. Smart phones and Windows versions are not as helpful for learning about Hebrew and Greek. In this version of the software, you have a lot of access to the Strong’s numbers of every word in Hebrew and Greek. You can quickly tap on a Strong number and look up the definitions of each word in multiple dictionaries and references. You are also able to search for every time that Hebrew word is selected for usage in the original text. It further gives you the root words and original Hebrew writings, including the ancient Hebrew pictograms that are fascinating to see what God says through these letters.

Everything in the Bible points us to Jesus! If we try any book and it does not point us to Him, it is not a good selection and should be avoided. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the one resource that is best for you. Only the Holy Spirit knows the exact one that will exactly fit your needs, desires and goals for learning more about JESUS! God Bless you!

      • Hello sister, thank you for reading, studying and for this great question. Jesus was the most spiritually aware naturally born man in all of human history. John 3:34 tells us He had the Spirit without measure. If we look closely at the spoken words of Jesus we will discover that He spoke words from a Spirit of God perspective. Most humans that he spoke with were only speaking with Him from a natural flesh 5 human senses perspective. This was and still is the root for any confusion to the messages flung in the Bible. Never forget the author of the Bible is the Holy Spirit. This is why God gave us His Spirit to help us see what He intended us to see.
There is a Bible Series on this website called Understanding Night and Day the Spiritual Heart of Man. Part 3 answers your question on John 9.
Thank you again and God bless you very much.

    • Thank you for reading and asking your question. I probably mention this subject in several Bible lessons because it is very important to learn. But, the primary lesson series that should help the most is called “Understanding Bible Covenants”. This will explain a good overview of the topics of Bible Covenant types, establishment and termination.

A quick overview of the subject if found in Deut. 24:1-4. Here we find the God given law of divorce. This is the law used by God to terminate His marriage covenant with Israel because of her repeated unfaithfulness to be His devoted wife. We will find the requirements of the Deuteronomy law carried out by God’s prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah. We will find these two witnesses using the exact same terminology written in Deuteronomy in Isiah 50 :1 and Jeremiah 3:8. Both verses use the exact same Hebrew words H7971 (put away), H5612 (bill) and H3748 (divorce) used in Deuteronomy 24:1-4.

I hope this will help in your Bible study. God Bless.

Please note that prayer has and will continue to be used to assist me in fighting this battle. My question is what and where does the Bible give instruction on dealing with depression? I do understand that I may have to deal with this issue as a permanent problem. I want something from the Word that I can stand on and be able to at least quell the storm in my heart and mind. My question is, why Angle did not tell him to go Galilee in the first place since God would have known about Herod’s death and the son replacing the father?

I just read your lesson on the 9-12 breastplate stones. What I have learned was the 3 stones that weren’t on Lucifes breastplate were (1) Ligure (overcoming power) Gen.49:19 Gad, a troop shall tramp upon him, But he shall triunph at last.(Satan will never overcome, but will be overcomed) (2) Agate (yield royal seed (life)) Gen.49:20 Bread from Asher shall be rich, and he shall yield royal dainties. (dainties; Pleasure & delight (Satan will never produce a life Pleasing to the Lord) (3) Amethyes (a servant (living for others) Gen.49:14 Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between two burdens. (donkey: beast of burden ( Satan will never bare your burdens) These are the reasons that I have learned why these 3 stones were not on his breastplate. I also learned a lot more from that lesson of the numbers 9&12. Thank you for giving your life to the Lord so you could be a tool for me to learn mor

So many christians are being murdered in middle-east and african countries. Is it the will of God that these christians die as martyrs?

    Like

    • There has been martyrs within Christianity from the beginning of the church age. They will probably remain and even increase because Satan is in control of this world system knowing that his time is growing short. Christians have been given authority over Satan but rarely know it or how to use it to stop these attacks. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge”. So while it is not the will of God for a Christian to die young, they can because of their ignorance.

1 Samuel 16:14 states that a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled Saul. God can not send evil spirit to anyone because He is the source of goodness and not evil. How to interpret this verse?

    Like

    • My answers will not change no matter how many questions you ask. God is Good all the time. God is LOVE all the time. Any translations or interpretations that contradict these two realities are a misunderstood, misinterpreted or misunderstood. This verse is no different. This verse very clearly says that the Spirit of Lord departed from Saul. When you go read the context you might see why this occurs. I will not do this for you. Then applying the same context you can ask why the evil spirit could come upon him. First the evil spirit could come because God’s Spirit left. Use the book of Job lessons that wrote to understand this story. Satan was in heaven asking God about Job and what happened. God had lifted the hedge of protection because of what Job did and Satan left the presence of God to attack Job. Uh oh, that sounds like Saul here. Do not think that God sent the evil Spirit. It only says the evil spirit came from God’s presence and came to Saul. This is not that complicated. Why can’t people see it? God Bless.

How does God chasten believers(Hebrew 12:6)?Kindly give me a detailed reply.

    Like

    • I appreciate your heart for God to learn. You are asking good questions but I feel like it would be more beneficial if I could teach you how to find the answers rather than just give you the answers to the questions. That is what I will attempt to do today.

There are basic rules for valid Bible interpretation. I cannot give you them all but I will at least point a few out to get you started. First read the context very closely and find the primary subject matter and who it was written to and who it was written about. If you do this with Hebrews chapter 12 you should find that it is written to the church about the church and the primary subject is God instructing them to help them grow/mature.

Then the next part of valid interpretation is for us to look up the word definitions from the Greek in order to understand the original language and see if there could be any potential conflicts to the way we read it in the English translations. The primary word you are asking about is G3811 that was translated as “chasteneth” in the KJV Bible. Therefore we are looking for what this word means. However we will start with the English dictionary of the word chasten first. Here is one dictionary that I found:

Chasten: to inflict suffering upon for purposes of moral improvement; chastise.

Ok this is typically what most Christians believe God is saying but was that what God really said? Let’s look up the word in the Strong’s and find out an actual original language definition:

From G3816; to train up a child, that is, educate, or (by implication) discipline (by punishment): – chasten (-ise), instruct, learn, teach.

Ok, this definition changes my viewpoint from what we originally thought dramatically from the English only. This original word literally means to train a child. How do we do this in the natural? I guess that could vary significantly depending on the sanity and moral character of the parent. But now consider we are talking about God training His children. God’s character and moral thoughts are way beyond the human comprehension for purity. Would God hurt His children in order to train them? I don’t think so.
Consider the definition again. This word means to instruct or teach and at the same time the child is supposed to learn from what is taught by the superior instructor.

Now here is the third way to learn the correct interpretation. We must learn how God used the word in the rest of the Bible. So we will search for both G3811 and G3809 that was translated as “chastening” in the verse 5 context. You should find that G3811 is found 13 times. Then G3809 is found in only 6 verses. Go and read all of these and use these to interpret the verse in Hebrews using a consistent manner application and definition of the word as “instruct” or “train”. You may also find that there is a definition contained in one of these verses to how God trains us.

That is all I am going to give you. You do the rest and tell me what you find and I’ll help you after that if you are off. Pray before you begin and ask God to open the eyes of your understanding to give you wisdom and revelation of His Holy Word. God will answer your prayer and do this. Thanks for your question and God Bless you.

    Like

    • There are two distinct and very different covenants in the Bible. The O.T. is not the one that we are under as Christians. The laws of this covenant were fulfilled by the commandment of love. Every meat in the N.T. is declared to be clean. You can read this in Mark 7:18-19 and Romans 14. We only follow what the New Covenant declares. However you should know that we do not eat what is offensive to our brother or we do not walk in love towards them. God Bless.

Will a christian receive all the blessings written in Malachi 3:10-12 by tithing if he/she disobeys other commandments of God?

    Like

    • Obedience of the law came with God’s blessings according to Deu 28. But disobedience had a curse placed upon them by this same law. God gives us a new law in the N.T. We can find this in the words of Jesus found in John 13:34. We later learn that by walking in God’s love and living it that this fulfills the all of the law according to Romans 13:10 and Galatians 5:14. We also learn that Christ has redeemed us from the curses of the law in Galatians 3:13. According to this information walking in love will fulfill the law. This would leave all of the blessings still to be received by faith and obedience of love. Ask yourself what would love do? So I usually tell people quit trying to obey the O.T. law and walk in love and this will cause the blessings of God to come upon them. — Agapegeek.

    • The sun generally represents the good life giving Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible shining in the spiritual day. I am yet to get reply from you regarding my question posted on April 21,2014.The gist of the question: Does God who is perfect, create handicapped people? How should we interpret Exodus 4:11 ?

    Like

    • The verse in Exodus 4:11 is easily misunderstood because of translation errors. Please go back and study the original Hebrew to help correct the words being stated by God.

Exo 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

The Hebrew word translated as “made” is not the same Hebrew word used for “create”. This Hebrew word that is translated as “made” is really “put”. This word is used in over 500 verses with the majority being a version of “put”. That is the first minor problem that must be understood. Now let’s learn about the major translation problem.

The statement “have not I the Lord” at the end of the verse is a grossly assumed statement. There is no Hebrew word for “have” in this verse and that was assumed by the translators. In the Darby translation of the Bible this word is at least “italicized” to indicate it was added by the translators. If we remove the word “have” completely from the translation, it states “not I the Lord” and that changes the meaning completely. The final statement becomes a statement of truth and not a question. God would literally say “I did not do it”.

In the O.T. there are many verses that translated as God causing what is evil and even sicknesses. But this is not what the original Hebrew says. Robert Young wrote the Young’s Analytical Concordance. In his first editions of the book there was a forward statement helping people to understand O.T. verses that were mistranslated. He declares that Hebrew verbs were often meant to be translated as a “permissive” text but they were translated as a “causative” text. This simply meant that God permitted the evil or sickness to occur but did not cause it to occur. I hope this helps you understand.

In Genesis we find that God created everything in perfect condition. But Exodus 4:11 states that God makes also the mute, the deaf and the blind.Has this verse been mistranslated? As there is no contradiction in the Bible, how should we interpret this verse?Kindly give me a reply as you understand that I ask you question to be enriched by your reply.

A christian invites trouble in his/her life by speaking negative and undesirable words. My question: is the effect of negative words cancelled by God when he/she is repentent?Does he/she suffer for speaking negative words despite being repentent? Does a non-believer suffer for speaking negative words? Kindly give me an elaborate reply.

    • Spoken words believed are seeds sown for your future whether positive or negative. God declares all seeds will be reaped by the person that sowed them:

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Sowing and reaping is a stated law of Genesis. It will never cease God says while we are here in this realm. This is why it is so important to begin to say right good words for your future. Planting more good seeds than you have as bad seeds can change the course of your life. Thank you for you question and God Bless.

Thank you very much for replying to my question regarding early death of christians but I am confused reading a christian magazine wherein a man of God in India commented after losing his daughter in a tragic car accident that Lord Jesus took his daughter away but he would do Lord’s ministry as promised by him to Lord Jesus when Lord appeared to him. My question: Does Lord Jesus shorten the life of somebody through accident if He so wishes?

    • I am sorry I must have done an inadequate job of explaining the answer tot the question. I will try to help again. If this man in India is correct that Jesus appeared to him and said that he took his daughter then the Jesus of the Bible has just been made a liar that we should not follow. However, I choose to believe the Jesus of the Bible instead of this imperfect man here on the earth. If Jesus did take this man’s daughter in a car accident then John 10:10 should be ripped out from out of all of our Bibles. Jesus very plainly said “I have come to give you life more abundantly but Satan came to kill you”. Now using this statement alone we can easily figure out who took the daughter and believe whatever we like. Please do not believe even a Christian unless what they say is backed by what God says in the Bible. Jesus is NEVER going to appear to someone and tell them anything that conflicts with His Holy Written Word. Personally, I am going to base my beliefs upon God’s Word and I believe that it would be wise for all other Christians to do the same. God Bless.

Why do many christians die of disease, die due to accident and natural calamity? Do they complete their span of life on the earth? Does God take them prematurely? Many non-believers live beyond 80/90 but most of the christians die before 80.Why?Why the promise written in Genesis 6:3(living for 120 years)is not fulfilled for christians?

    • God bless you for reading, commenting and asking a question. You ask a very complex and difficult question to answer. Why anyone dies young is seldom known by people. Only God is omniscient and all-knowing and can accurately answer this question if we pray and ask. But He will not normally answer this question even in prayer because it is usually none of our business. What goes on in a person’s life is usually between them and God only. You and I are responsible for only our self. If we try to fix or understand anyone else we will normally fail.

Having said all of that there are a few good reasons why people die young and this includes Christians. Read this verse over and consider the application for the answer to your question:

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

I know very few Christians that are consistently led by God’s Spirit. Not being led by the Spirit correctly will usually cause people to die early because they are in the wrong places and the wrong times with the wrong people. Let’s look at another reason why Christians could die early:

1Pe 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Proverbs 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue and those that love it shall eat the fruit there of. Isn’t that what God says through Peter? Christians die young because they are speaking death instead of life. They have been tricked by the devil to pronounce a curse upon themselves. Let’s look at another reason why Christians die young:

1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Here is a very specific reason why Christians die according to God. I’m not sure if you understand what these verses are saying but they are talking about Christian sin. When we examine our own hearts we will always find things that need to be removed from our lives because none of are perfect. After we find an item we can pray asking for forgiveness and then ask God for help in changing us. Verse 31 ends with many Christians are sick and weak and even die (sleep).

Ok, I’m only going to give you one more reasons why Christians die early. We forget that there is an evil devil present in this world that Jesus said in John 10:10 has only come to kill, steal and destroy us. This devil wants any Christian dead. When a Christian is dead they leave the earth and are present in heaven. This makes them a non-threat to Satan and his kingdom. Satan thinks that he can remain on the earth if there are no Christians. We can learn this fact from reading the Bible. Cain killed his brother Abel in Genesis. Abel is called a righteous man in Hebrews 11. The man Cain is a type of Satan and took the righteous off the face of the earth by spilling his blood. This is an example of the work of Satan. I hope and pray that you understand this better now.

There are too many reasons why Christians die early. It is not the will of God for any of His people to die prematurely. God does not take a Christian to heaven early. If He did this it would make the words of Jesus in John 10:10 a lie.

    • Thanks for your question. I’m not sure if I understood the reason for the question or not.

You mentioned 4 things 1) salt, 2) water, 3) oil, and 4) juice. These are all naturally created substances that spiritual symbolic meanings associated with them. You seem to indicate that these are used in prayers and they are to some extent. However, we need to balance what else the Bible says together with praying to God. Let me give you two verses that must be evaluated correctly with your question:

Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

This verse literally means to think on spiritual things and not to think on natural physical things.

2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Again in this verse God intentionally directs our attention away from temporary natural things to cause us to focus upon spiritual eternal things.

Now let me ask you is salt, water, oil and juice natural or spiritual things? If you can see them, touch them, taste them and smell them then they are natural temporary things that we should not be focused on. Now do you see any problem with using them in your prayers?

Having said all of that there are examples of using them in the New Testament. Partaking of wine (grape juice) in the New Covenant Eucharist was done in the book of Acts and mentioned in 1 Corinthians 11:28. Now let me give you an example of oil used during prayer:

Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

It is clear to me that the use of oil during praying for the sick is directed to us by God.

What you must begin to realize is that none of these natural things is what we place our faith in. We only place our faith in God’s Word and the hearing of the prayer by God. Oil will never heal anyone. The same as drinking wine will never save anyone. These are external things that are used to teach us about unseen spiritual things. If you learn to understand what they mean instead of blindly using them then that will cause you to grow strong spiritually in the Lord.

I hope that answered your question,

      God Bless
      Bro Ron

Not Liking God at all , I would think he would say ” I do not need His approval to do anything and I will do whatever I want, whenever I want ” … Could you clarify this for me ???
